Glittery Brown Smokes - Product Breakdown

Hey guys, so I'm back with a product breakdown for another look I posted  on my Instagram (@rukh_shak), hope you enjoy this post as well!

All about Orange Correctors

Hey guys, so in today's post I wanted to talk about colour correctors, more specifically, orange colour correctors and what I use them for. Now you can get various different types of orange corrector, they could be liquid or cream and can vary from being a bright orange or a more muted peachy orange shade, I've got a few different ones that I want to talk about today and these are products that I use quite regularly on myself as well.

Orange/peachy correctors can be used to help correct any dark areas around the face, e.g. dark circles, dark spots/marks or darkness around the mouth area - something that is very common with Asian skin. You apply the corrector first and then go in with your foundation/concealer. When applying orange correctors or any kind of correctors (e.g. green/purple), remember to only apply in the areas you need it - don't paint your whole face orange! - and always use a light hand, you don't need a thick/opaque layer of corrector - applying too much corrector may result in you having to a thicker layer of foundation to then cover up the corrector, which can leave your base looking and feeling cakey - just a very light thin layer of corrector should do the job!

Coty Airspun Translucent Face Powder - Review

So after seeing a lot of Youtube beauty gurus rave about this setting powder for such a long time, I decided I had to try it out for myself! I purchased mine off Amazon in the shade translucent, which is the original shade, there are however a few more shades available in this powder. The other colours available are; Translucent Extra Coverage, Honey Beige and Suntan, and these shades unlike the original will add a bit of extra coverage/colour to your base when applied.

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation - Review

Hey guys, just wanted to review the Illamasqua Skin Base foundation for you today. I've been using this for well over a year now and I love it! I'm always switching up my base routine and trying out new foundations but this is one foundation that is a staple in my collection and I always come back to it.

I use the shade SB13 in this foundation and it is the perfect shade for me! (Just for reference - I'm NC44 in MAC foundations and use Syracuse in NARS foundations). It has a medium buildable coverage, it easily covers all my marks and redness and looks very flawless/full coverage, which is really surprising considering how lightweight this feels on my skin. I like to apply this using either a flat top buffing brush or a stippling brush, but it applies great with a blending sponge as well, so either the beauty blender or the real techniques sponge would be good to use.

Superdrug Vitamin E Facial Mist - Review

Hey Guys! Just a quick review today on the Superdrug Vitamin E facial mist, now I've been using this mist for quite a while now and I've gone through many bottles of this stuff. There's been a lot of hype around this product on instagram lately, with some people saying they love it and others saying it's causing them to break out in little bumps, so I thought I'd just throw in my own review on why I love this product and what I use it for.

When I first started using this product it was labelled as a 'Refreshing Toning Mist' but it looks like Superdrug have recently re-labelled it as a 'Hydrating Mist', not sure of the reason for the name change but it is definitely still the same product.

I like to use this before and after doing my makeup, I spray it onto my face straight after I wash it, before I apply any other skincare and let it sink into my skin and it really helps make my skin appear more dewy and hydrated. I'll then apply the rest of my skincare and do my makeup, once I've finished applying my makeup I'll spritz this all over my face again to get rid of any 'powdery-ness', it really helps settle the products into the skin, making the base makeup look less cakey and it also leaves a really dewy finish to the skin so you look extra glowy!

Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser

Okay so I'm not really the best when it comes to skincare, I'm very very lazy when it comes to skincare actually 😞😭 but recently my skin has gotten quite dry and dull and my makeup just isn't sitting right, so I decided I need to stop being so lazy and start working on my skincare routine.

So today I just wanted to do a really quick post on something new that I've been using recently, and that is the Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser. I got this in one of my Glossy boxes (can't remember which month it was) and it's a 30ml tube which is a pretty good amount considering this is meant to be a sample! I've been using this moisturiser everyday since I got it and I've only just run out of it! Before I go into what I think of this product, here's what it says on the Nip + Fab website:

Daily moisturiser to help soften and comfort dry skin. A superfood powerhouse complex of kale, watercress and almond oil enrich skin with deep vitamin nourishment and protects against external aggressions that can cause dry skin. Concentrated aloe vera and shea butter help to further sooth and improve skin texture, providing long-lasting hydration.

Everyday Base Routine

Hey guys! Thought I'd do a quick post on my everyday base. I'm usually always running late (mostly because I just don't like leaving my bed) so I have to do my makeup quite quickly on a day to to day basis, I do sometimes switch up some of the products but the things I mention in this post are products that I've been reaching for a lot recently.
